1761 Charleston, South Carolina

In 1761 May 4th a tornado hit Charleston, South Carolina. It’s the earliest recorded tornado with multiple casualties in the US. The number of casualties was 8. Not much is really known about it because of the limited knowledge about tornadoes in the 1700s. But there were 2 tornadoes that hit. It also caused many of the ships in the harbor to sink. Personally I couldn’t find much info about it so yeah. I couldn’t find any pictures of the tornado either that were clear to mean that it was the actual tornado. Sorry for not having alot of info about this one.
